Professional Services

Our professional services team is here to help clients get the best possible results from our solutions, thereby improving your business performance. In order for our clients to receive benefit, two things must happen 1) the technology must deliver actionable knowledge and 2) the client must take appropriate action.

The Technology Must Deliver Actionable Knowledge

Technology Must Deliver Actionable Knowledge

Our platform consists of two primary components, both designed specifically for transportation: a large relational database we call TRAC™, which can house 4500 data elements and relate them all to each other; and a very sophisticated pattern recognition engine and predictive modeling tool. Recognizing our clients are in the transportation business and not the patterning and prediction technology business, FleetRisk professional services people supplement the customer’s staff and provide temporary access to the required specialized skills to implement this technology.

The Client Must Take Appropriate Action

You know what to do with a driver if they have an accident. You know what to do if you get a call from a motorist. You know what to do to try and keep your best people. But do you know who to do something to in advance of an event? Our professional services team will work with you to integrate the advance knowledge and insight gained from our solutions with your existing working environment. We also bring a lot of real world experience and client experience to bear as needed. Our goal is not to change what you do, but to allow you to get ahead of future events and change the outcome in your favor. As Tom Voelkel, President of Dupre Logistics puts it, “Predictive modeling helps us see the future today, and gives us the opportunity to create the future we want tomorrow.” Our Professional Services Team can help your company create a better future.

Our Professional Services Team also helps lead the Client Engagement Methodology, which consists of five well documented steps:

  • Step 1: Business Opportunity Assessment: The objective of this step is to gain understanding about the client’s business and IT systems, and use that understanding in Step 2 to create an overall plan for the implementation.
  • Step 2: Project Development: During this phase the overall project is developed and planned, timelines established, resources assigned and “success factors” defined and agreed upon.
  • Step 3: Data Extract & Aggregation: During this step your team (or ours) builds the required data feeds, both historical and periodic, from all of your transactional systems. The data is ‘shipped’ to FleetRisk and we cleanse the data and establish the relational links in TRAC™.
  • Step 4: Modeling and Analytics: During this step a standard suite of performance analytics are run and the process of building the predictive model is begun. Building quality predictive models is a very complex process. We have found through our experience it takes far more than good data and the right tool. The process is very important and is part of our 'secret sauce'.
  • Step 5: Production Implementation: The final production model is tested against a set of data which has been “held out” for validation of the expected return on investment. The production data feeds are also tested and business processes tuned. G checks out, we go live.
